Mechanical Engineer - Component Design (m/f/d)

As a Mechanical Engineer in our Machinery & Components team, you contribute to the design, documentation and improvement of mechanical components for wind turbines. You work with 3D CAD and PLM systems, collaborate closely with manufacturing, sourcing and quality, and support safe and reliable product development within an international environment.

YOUR TASKS

• Design mechanical components and create 3D models and drawings in Siemens NX and Teamcenter
• Apply ISO standards and Machinery Directive requirements when developing mechanical parts
• Develop welded structures and sheet metal parts suitable for manufacturing
• Provide support in prototype validation and hardware testing
• Prepare technical documentation and needed product specifications to support production
• Resolve manufacturing issues and drive improvement and quality actions
• Support Sourcing and Quality during supplier qualification and homologation
• Collaborate effectively in an international and multicultural engineering team

YOUR PROFILE

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Experience in component design, ideally 2+ years in the wind industry or similar mechanical fields
• Knowledge of Machinery Directive and relevant standards with focus on HSE
• Experience with welded structures and sheet metal design
• Skilled in 3D CAD (NX) and familiar with PLM systems such as Teamcenter
• Fluent English skills required; additional languages are beneficial
• Ability to work collaboratively across functions and cultures
