Über diesen Job

JOB DESCRIPTION

At Roche you can show up as yourself, embraced for the unique qualities you bring. Our culture encourages personal expression, open dialogue, and genuine connections, where you are valued, accepted and respected for who you are, allowing you to thrive both personally and professionally. This is how we aim to prevent, stop and cure diseases and ensure everyone has access to healthcare today and for generations to come. Join Roche, where every voice matters.

The Position

The Instrument Operations Network (ION) at Roche is dedicated to delivering reliable and innovative instruments for in-vitro Diagnostics to our affiliate organizations and customers. We offer a broad range of instruments, from Point of Care handhelds to large-scale routine lab equipment. Our network spans four locations (Mannheim, Ludwigsburg, Tucson, Rotkreuz), where we collaborate to continuously enhance our competitive position, ensure timely delivery of best-in-class quality instruments, and enable Roche to bring innovative and differentiated instruments to market. With multiple sites and areas of practice, our network provides diverse opportunities for employees to explore the world of diagnostics. The Chapter Materials & Production Planning provides local production sites with end-to-end planning for materials and production, aligning long-term forecasts with global supply chains and establishing production plans for all instruments and spare parts.

The Opportunity

As a Sub-Chapter Lead Production Planning, you will lead a sub-chapter of approximately 25 Production Planners, serving as their direct manager. This role is a key leadership position within the Chapter Leadership Team, where you will inspire, empower, and coach a team of specialists and experts to achieve ambitious results in a dynamic environment. You will be responsible for aligning your unit with overarching goals, removing obstacles, and fostering a growth mindset with a holistic, systemic perspective. This includes developing individual and team development plans, cultivating an innovative team culture, and acting as a change agent to help your team embrace and integrate changes. You will also be responsible for the planning of assigned production programs for ION sites, ensuring optimal delivery availability for end devices, accessories, and spare parts, and actively managing stakeholders across the Instrument Operations Network.

  • Lead and develop a team of 25 Production Planners across various sites, fostering a sense of belonging and promoting talent development.

  • Inspire, empower, and coach your team to achieve ambitious results in a dynamic and global environment.

  • Align your sub-chapter's objectives with the broader Chapter and ION organizational goals.

  • Develop individual and team development plans, identifying potential and fostering growth.

  • Cultivate a team culture that encourages innovation, utilizing agile methodologies like Sprints and Scrum.

  • Act as a change agent, guiding your team through organizational transformations.

  • Oversee the planning of production programs for ION sites, ensuring optimal delivery availability.

  • Manage material availability to meet production demands while optimizing inventory levels.

  • Mitigate Non-Finished Goods (NFG) scrap risks and optimize NFG inventory.

  • Achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) related to material stocks, factory adherence, and on-time in-full (OTIF) delivery.

  • Actively manage stakeholders across the Instrument Operations Network, both internal and external.

Who You Are

  • You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

  • You have several years of experience in a leadership role, coupled with extensive professional experience (6-8 years for Bachelor's, 5-7 years for Master's) in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Inventory Control, or Purchasing.

  • You possess a strong understanding of legal and regulatory requirements and standards in practice.

  • You are business fluent in English and German, with strong communication skills and the ability to address difficult or sensitive topics.

  • You embody the VACC (Visionary, Architect, Coach, Catalyst) principles, demonstrate entrepreneurial thinking, and possess a strong growth mindset, thriving in a global and intercultural environment.

Location: This position is posted in Rotkreuz, Mannheim, Ludwigsburg, and Tucson. The location of your application does not affect your chances—there is no preference.

Are you ready to apply? We want someone who thinks beyond the job offered - someone who knows that this position can be an outstanding opportunity to craft the future of Roche.
