The Opportunity

The Manufacturing Science and Technology (MSAT) team at Roche ensures the efficient and high-quality production of electrochemical sensors by bridging the gap between product development and full-scale manufacturing. MSAT focuses on process scale-up, optimization, and continuous improvement to maintain product integrity and meet global standards. As an intern with us, you'll gain hands-on experience working directly on a production line during an active scale-up.

Your main tasks will include:

• Monitoring production data and analyzing key production performance indicators like yield, equipment uptime, and cycle times

• Define and prioritize improvement projects to increase manufacturing process efficiency and quality.

• Leading smaller projects and/or support as a key player on larger improvement projects in new production facilities.

• Support on the shop floor and act as the first point of contact

• Report status, results, and conclusions about yield improvements to the project team

Who You Are:

You have a Bachelor or a Master degree in the field of Mechanical, Mechatronic, Production, and Process Engineering or related fields (or a technical apprenticeship with a Bachelor's degree ongoing)

Furthermore, you bring:

• High interest in new technologies and manufacturing processes

• Solution oriented and proactive mentality

• First practical experience with leading smaller projects

• Root cause analysis (statistics) and digital skills (e.g. Python, R)

• Fluency in both, German and English (spoken and written)

: 6 -12 months

Please note that due to work permit reasons, NON-EU/-EFTA nationals need to provide a confirmation by their university stating that an internship is mandatory for their studies.
