As a Senior IT Manager within our Global IT organization, you will be responsible for supporting the applications across our Finance and Operations portfolio, which provide critical business capabilities across the organization. You will lead our efforts in supporting these applications, delivering value through continuous improvement and mitigating risk by minimizing outages. You will also manage a team of IT analysts responsible for the maintenance and support of these applications and will work with our Managed Service Providers, 3rd party development teams, and other internal teams. This role supports Gilbarco Veeder Root’s Germany business operations.

What you will do:

• Act as a subject matter expert for the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations applications, providing leadership and direct support to our managed service providers and system implementors for D365 implementation and sustainment.
• Drive the transformation from legacy applications to the cloud-based SaaS ERP platform (Microsoft Dynamics 365), ensuring alignment to business needs and milestone delivery.
• Lead and coordinate with local IT resources, business stakeholders, existing personnel in Salskotten who support the legacy system, and external consultants (e.g., KPMG) to meet project milestones.
• Own the data transition workstream: lead data extraction activities from the legacy system, support data cleansing efforts, define and implement templates and processes for data upload, and validate data transmission accuracy into the new ERP.
• Provide leadership for business analysis and conduct requirements analysis by working with ERP system implementors and business stakeholders.
• Drive end-to-end system solution, business process design and architecture for the ERP application footprint by collaborating with system implementors.
• Collaborate with business users and other stakeholders to ensure solution design aligns to business requirements.
• Drive conference room pilots (CRPs) and user acceptance testing (UAT) in partnership with system implementors and business owners.
• Be responsible for user and system administration of the ERP and any Finance & Operations applications that remain after go-live and integrate or interact with the new ERP system.
• Support VBS (Vontier Business System) culture through consistent participation in daily management and use the VBS toolkit to solve business and process problems and enhance departmental efficiency.

Who You Are:

• Demonstrated experience in multiple ERP implementations (required: 3+ implementations). Prefer candidates who have worked on several ERP projects rather than a single D365-only implementation; D365 F&O experience strongly preferred.
• Experience supporting manufacturing clients and manufacturing ERP processes — including inventory management, production scheduling, and conversion of raw materials to finished goods (BOMs, production orders).
• Proven experience leading or heavily contributing to data migration activities: extraction, mapping, cleansing, templating, upload processes, and validation of data transmission.
• Comfortable working with external consultancies and service providers (experience working with firms such as KPMG is a plus).
• Results-oriented with experience in ERP implementation, maintenance, and post-go-live support and integrations.
• Strong collaborator who can work effectively with local IT resources and business stakeholders to meet milestones and resolve issues.
• Excited to learn and adopt new technologies that deliver value; focused on continuous process improvement.
• Excellent prioritization and communication skills and able to work in a fast-paced, global team environment.
• Customer-service focused and able to balance standardization with unique customer requirements.
• Fluent in English and familiar with working in global, cross-functional teams.
• Note: Years of experience are less important than demonstrated track record — the focus is on the number and scope of ERP implementations you have delivered or supported.
