ARISE with us and apply today as a Technical Product Manager (m/f/d) with a Focus on Platforms, in a permanent position. This role can be performed remotely anywhere in Germany with regular on-site customer engagements (approx. 2 days/week).
Role Trajectory:
This role is designed to be actively shaped and driven by the person in it. While the near-term focus is strongly centered on delivery, execution, and stabilising platform-level coherence under ongoing pressure, you are expected to deliberately push the role and the platform toward a more outcome-driven footing. This includes elevating operator experience, operability, and cost efficiency to first-class product concerns.
Activities
- You will take end-to-end ownership for platform-level coherence across multiple product lines, balancing short-term delivery demands with the long-term evolution of the platform toward usability, operability, and cost efficiency.
- You will represent Platform Operations as a primary customer persona and act as their main interface into product management, shaping the end-to-end operational journey of the platform and translating operational, reliability, and cost-related needs into clear and actionable product priorities.
- You will own platform level dependency management by identifying, maintaining, and communicating functional dependencies across the product portfolio to enable reliable release planning, operational troubleshooting, and informed decision making.
- You will ensure a coherent platform experience across product lines by critically reviewing roadmap scope, sequencing, and cross-product touch points for tenant-facing offerings and by actively preventing fragmentation and UX drift at platform level.
- You will provide strategic oversight and governance for customer-facing releases by reviewing and signing off on product strategy, functional scope, and platform alignment across all releases within your area of responsibility.
- You will actively surface, resolve, and de-risk cross-product dependencies by identifying unknowns early, unblocking teams, and ensuring consistent platform behavior and correct sequencing across planning and delivery. You will do this while progressively shifting the role from execution-driven coordination toward strategic platform stewardship.
Requirements
- Professional Experience: You bring several years of experience as a Senior Product Manager in platform, infrastructure, or technically complex product environments, with a proven ability to operate effectively under delivery pressure while shaping longer-term product direction.
- Product Operations & Execution Leadership: You have strong exposure to product operations and are comfortable working at the intersection of delivery, governance, and decision-making.
- Operational & Operator-Centric Thinking: You deeply understand the needs of cloud platform operations and treat operators as a first-class customer persona. You are able to translate operational realities into sustainable, scalable product decisions.
- Cross-Product Perspective: You are comfortable coordinating across multiple product lines and working with Product Owners to manage dependencies, align roadmaps, and ensure platform-level consistency.
- Technical Expertise: You are technically fluent in modern cloud platform operations and have hands-on exposure to cloud-native, hybrid, or on-premise environments. You don’t need to be an engineer, but you can hold your own in discussions on operability, infrastructure trade-offs, and platform constraints.
- Agile Mindset: You are confident in applying Scrum or SAFe. You prioritize outcome over output and focus on continuous value delivery.
- Language Skills: You communicate clearly and persuasively in English, both written and spoken. German is a plus.
