What you´ll do
- Project Management: Manage tasks throughout typical project life cycles, overseeing deadlines and action items to ensure efficient and on-time project delivery
- Research & Analysis: Conduct in-depth research on diverse sustainability topics, gather data, analyze trends, and identify key insights to aid strategic decision-making
- Meeting Preparation and Support: Assist in preparing and organizing meetings, including managing follow-up activities to keep projects aligned and progressing
- Documentation: Create detailed meeting minutes and maintain action item lists to ensure smooth communication and follow-through after meetings
- Data Management: Review existing sustainability reports and input relevant information into our provider matrix, ensuring precise data representation
- Stakeholder Communication: Engage effectively with stakeholders to gather essential information related to our Data Center operations
- Requirements Specification: Support the team in defining new business and functional requirements, requiring no technical expertise but a keen eye for detail
Who you are
To thrive in this role, candidates should meet the following qualifications:
- Educational Background: Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business, or a related field, with a solid understanding of sustainability principles and practices
- Analytical Skills: Possess strong analytical skills to effectively gather, interpret, and present data. Experience with data management systems or tools is a bonus
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English for engaging stakeholders and documenting insights. Experience with report and presentation preparation is beneficial
- Project Management Abilities: Basic understanding of project management processes and an eye for detail in tracking deadlines and action items
- Adaptability and Initiative: Ability to work independently with guidance, showing initiative and a proactive approach to supporting team tasks
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with JIRA, S/4HANA, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), SAP Datasphere, and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) is advantageous, though not required. A willingness to learn and adapt to new software and tools is essential
- Research Expertise: Skilled at conducting thorough research, data gathering, and trend analysis to support strategic team initiatives
- Team Collaboration: Comfortable working in a team setting, contributing to collective goals, and engaging in collaborative problem-solving efforts
Meet your team
The GCID DLS environmental sustainability team is seeking a motivated student to assist with strategic initiatives, including the Net-Zero 2030 program, Circularity, and collaborating with suppliers like Co-location, ITAD providers, and Hyperscalers. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with our dedicated sustainability team, providing hands-on experience in sustainability reporting and interactions with GCID’s suppliers. As part of our team, you will develop a broad range of skills essential for driving sustainability efforts in a dynamic and supportive environment, with your contributions playing a crucial role in advancing GCID's commitment to environmental responsibility.
Your set of application documents should contain a cover letter, a resume in table form, school leaving certificates, certificate of enrollment, current university transcript of records, copies of any academic degrees already earned, and if available, references from former employers (including internships). Please also describe your experience and skills in foreign languages and computer programs / programming languages.
