Job Description

Your responsibilities

• New and further development of gasketed and brazed plate heat exchangers
• Leading development projects for new products and cost reduction, including complete documentation
• Reviewing specifications (requirements documents) and creating functional specifications
• Performing project pre-calculations and risk assessments
• Conducting feasibility analyses for new components / assemblies and products
• Creating CAD models and drawings, and preparing models for CFD and FEM simulations
• Performing CFD and FEM calculations and documenting the results
• Close cooperation with adjacent departments such as Research and Innovation, in an international environment

Your profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermodynamics, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of work experience
• Very good knowledge of thermodynamics
• Very good knowledge of heat exchangers, especially plate heat exchangers
• Good knowledge of pressure equipment directives (e.g., ASME or DIN EN 13445)
• Good knowledge of CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) and FEM (Finite Element Method) calculations
• Good German and English skills
• Proficiency in standard MS Office applications
• Structured working style
• Work location at either Sarstedt (near Hanover) or Wilchwitz (near Altenburg), with a willingness to occasionally travel to the other site
