Our client is experiencing an exciting growth phase with a strong start-up mentality, driven by innovation and multiple projects across different pillars of the business.

As the Category Manager - Transportation & Logistics , you will take ownership of a strategic spend of approximately EUR 150m across international Road and Ocean Freight.

You will play a key role in shaping the logistics category strategy while supporting operational excellence and long-term value creation across the organization.

This role is based in Schaffhausen, Switzerland , offering a hybrid working model. (2–3 days per week from home)

The main responsibilities of the Category Manager - Transportation & Logistics include:

• Owning the Procurement strategy for Road and Ocean Freight across international markets

• Managing a total logistics spend of approx. EUR 150m

• Leading all sourcing activities, tenders, and contract negotiations within transportation & logistics

• Developing category strategies aligned with global business objectives and the organization's growth mindset

• Building strong relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders to drive performance and innovation

• Delivering cost optimization, risk mitigation, and service reliability improvements

• Collaborating cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, and regional teams to ensure alignment

• Monitoring market trends to support decision-making and maintain competitive advantage

Candidate Requirements:

• Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or a related field

• 5+ years of experience in Procurement/Category Management within transportation & logistics

• Strong expertise in Road and Ocean Freight categories

• Proven ability to manage large-scale (EUR 100m+) strategic spend

• Strong negotiation, analytical, and vendor management skills

• Experience working in fast-paced or growth-oriented environments is a strong advantage

• Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence at a senior level

• Fluent communication skills in English; additional languages beneficial
