The Schaffhausen facility is a strategic launch and growth site for parenteral products, and we have an impressive pipeline of new and innovative products.
Our GET organization operates as one integrated team in the delivery of Engineering, Maintenance and Execution Systems activities. This occurs in a standard, coordinated and consistent manner in support of the current and future requirements of our Manufacturing & Technical Organization (MTO) and in conjunction with key partners, to create one integrated internal/external network.
We are looking for an Experienced Maintenance Engineer to support our Parenteral Filling department at Cilag AG in Schaffhausen, Switzerland.
Purpose:
In this role, you will be responsible for defining and implementing robust maintenance and reliability strategies for high-tech parenteral filling equipment. You will ensure equipment availability and performance, support new product launches, lead technical investigations, and drive continuous improvement in a highly regulated GMP environment.
You will be responsible for:
- Definition and implementation of maintenance strategies and methods based on proven research for the Repair & Maintenance Engineering team.
- Applying hands-on engineering expertise to minimize equipment failure risks and optimize machine performance.
- Supervising engineering repair projects and maintenance programs to ensure reliable asset performance.
- Leading quality and technical investigations and developing compliant technical solutions.
- Ensuring the safe execution of all maintenance activities in accordance with EHS, environmental, and cGMP standards.
- Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams on-site as well as with global partners.
- Monitoring and analyzing equipment reliability performance to drive continuous improvement (e.g., OEE).
- Providing input to future equipment strategy and ensuring equipment readiness for new product launches.
- Participating in internal and external audits (GMP, EHS, FM) and representing the Parenteral Filling maintenance topics.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- University degree in Engineering - preferably Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or Chemical discipline
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience and a proven track record in maintenance and reliability engineering in a manufacturing environment
- Fluency in German and preferably good English skills; very good communication skills and ability to collaborate with others efficiently and to work well in project teams
- Pharmaceutical or chemical industry experience is preferred
- Drive to continuously improve and challenge the status quo
- Critical problem solver and root cause problem solving skills
- Self-driven, well-organized and able to set own targets
- Decisiveness, brainpower and aim to take care of various issues and projects simultaneously
This role may require occasionally regional travel, as needed (less than 10%).
