Are you an experienced Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) professional who enjoys working close to the business, advising senior stakeholders, and strengthening risk awareness across an organization?

We are supporting a well-established Swiss accident insurance provider with a strong digital and future-oriented mindset, in hiring a Governance, Risk & Compliance Officer (40–60%) based in Zurich / Lausanne (hybrid).

In this role, you will ensure regulatory compliance, proactively identify risks, and further develop the company-wide risk management and internal control frameworks in line with FINMA requirements.

Key responsibilities:

• Monitor compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal requirements

• Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and employee training programs

• Maintain and evolve the enterprise risk management framework, including risk appetite and strategy

• Identify, assess, and manage risks, including risk analyses and mitigation measures

• Organize and further develop the Internal Control System (ICS) based on the Three Lines of Defence model

• Advise Executive Management and the Board of Directors and prepare clear, structured reporting

Required background:

• Degree in law, business law, business administration, or similar

• Several years of experience in compliance and risk management, ideally in insurance or financial services

• Strong understanding of Swiss regulatory topics (e.g. AML, data protection, insurance regulation)

• Analytical, structured, and independent working style

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

• Languages: German (very good), English (fluent), French is an advantage
