Your key responsibilities
Aim of the role is to ensure stable, continous, and efficient operation of the data warehouse through a deep understanding of internal data and business processes, fast incident response and strong accountability.
It also enables trusted, consistent communication with business stakeholders, ensuring smooth and reliable business-as-usual operations.
For this position, we are looking for a genuine team player who will help shape the team culture and is willing to work on site in Starnberg at least 3 days a week.
More details:
- Monitor and continuously improve daily operational KPIs to ensure a stable and reliable data warehouse environment
- Detect, analyze, and coordinate the resolution of data-related issues in collaboration with internal stakeholders
- Plan, manage, and execute regular data ingestion processes, including the onboarding of new data sources
- Design and align necessary changes to data structures or processes to maintain operational stability and optimal load performance
- Ensure data availability and adherence to basic data quality standards within the raw data layer
Your profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, (Business) Informatics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a comparable STEM-related field, with at least 4 years of professional experience in Data Warehousing, Data Engineering, or software engineering with a strong focus on data workflows
- Strong hands-on experience with SQL and Python, as well as working with cloud-based data warehouse technologies such as Azure and Snowflake
- Practical experience with templating engines (e.g., Jinja) and Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform), combined with a solid understanding of DevOps principles in a data-driven environment
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand, design, and maintain complex, scalable data flows and architectures
- Solution-oriented, proactive, and quality-focused mindset, with a strong commitment to clean, maintainable code and reliable data pipelines
