About us
The Faculty of Medicine is one of the four founding faculties of the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen. With its non-clinical facilities as well as its research and teaching area corresponding to the organisational units of the University Hospital, it is one of the largest medical training and research institutions in Baden-Württemberg.
About the Neuron-Glia Interactions Lab
The research group of Dr. Snaidero is a dynamic and interdisciplinary environment focused on uncovering mechanisms of CNS myelination and neuroinflammation. The lab combines advanced in vivo imaging approaches with complex models of demyelinating disease to investigate glial cell
dynamics, immune-glia interactions, and myelin plasticity in health and disease.
The lab is embedded within the Hertie Institute for Clinical Brain Research (HIH), which, together with the Department of Neurology at the University Hospital Tübingen, forms the Center of Neurology. The HIH is one of Europe’s leading institutions for translational neuroscience, dedicated to understanding, diagnosing, and treating diseases of the human brain through integrated research, clinical care, and education.
