FenX is a spin-off from ETH Zurich. We tackle the world’s energy and greenhouse gas challenge by bringing technology and innovation to the building insulation market. Our first impact product is a high-performance building insulation panel incorporating mineral waste materials. It is cost effective, fully recyclable and has a low CO2 footprint.

Tasks

• Co-development of porous minerals, production of prototypes, quality control.
• Transfer of R&D formulations to the prototyping plant.
• Material characterization and support on material certification.
• Planning and improvement of prototype production processes.
• Support on operating and maintaining the prototyping line.
• Support of the technical team on other issues as required.

Requirements

• Ideally ETH/FH materials science, mechanical or civil engineering with knowledge/ passion for ceramic and cementitious materials
• Impact driven person with a passion for innovation
• Hands-on attitude and technical understanding
• Systematic problem-solving skills
• Team-oriented and reliable
• English and ideally German proficiency
• Knowledge in Arduino, Raspberry Pi, Python, CAD is a plus
• Swiss work permit
