For our new, global cross-divisional Technical Service organization we are looking for a Director (f/m/d) Technical Service to be based in Melsungen or Tuttlingen, starting immediately.

Technical Service at B. Braun plays a key role in our strategy as a leading medical technology company. High-end medical devices such as automated infusion systems, dialysis machines, water treatment systems, surgical robotics, endoscopy systems, and many others are essential to our customers in their daily routines to diagnose and treat acute and chronic patients. A high-quality, reliable, and fast technical service is required to ensure maximum uptime and performance of our devices and solutions – and thus the best possible patient outcomes.

As Director (f/m/d) Technical Service, you will be responsible for leading B. Braun’s Technical Service for active medical devices, associated products, and digital solutions across all divisions worldwide. You will report directly to the Senior Vice President for Commercial Excellence and Technical Service, build a modern high-performance service organization, and lead our global service operations. Your goal is to provide customer-focused and profitable Technical Services as a competitive advantage for B. Braun.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Define and implement the global B. Braun Technical Service operations strategy in alignment with the divisions and top management
• Functionally lead all Technical Services for active medical devices and related organizations within B. Braun’s global matrix organization
• Define and provide a global service portfolio for all associated products, digital solutions and other products requiring technical service
• Build and establish a KPI system including reporting to continuously measure and optimize global Technical Service performance
• Set and achieve global Technical Service performance targets in accordance with the service strategy and monitor financial and performance KPIs
• Establish and implement global standards with harmonized processes, methods, and digital tools for service processes and operations, and develop and implement a roadmap for digitalization in Technical Service
• Manage global Technical Service support for active medical devices, technical documentation, education, training, and competency development
• Proactively support product lifecycle management and improvement activities in collaboration with divisions, CoEs, and other functions such as Quality Management, IT, and Commercial Excellence
• Provide and ensure Marketing & Sales support where required

Professional Qualifications:

• Successfully completed studies in engineering and/or business administration
• Several years of proven experience in a senior leadership role, ideally within Technical Service or similar
• Experience in leading and developing organizations and employees
• Ability to manage global and international teams in complex matrix structures
• Expertise and willingness to implement global strategies and initiatives, and achieve targets through proven change management skills
• Fluent English and German skills are mandatory
• High willingness to travel
