About the Role
The Financial Controller plays a key role in strengthening financial planning, monitoring, and reporting across the organisation. The position works closely with teams across departments to enhance transparency, improve processes, and support automation initiatives. By delivering high-quality financial analysis and reporting, the role provides critical insights that inform decision-making and support the organisation’s strategic objectives.
Tasks
- Conduct financial analyses, including variance analysis and scenario modelling, to support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Prepare business cases and ad-hoc analyses to inform investments, initiatives, and organisational priorities.
- Lead the consolidation and preparation of monthly financial results and reports for senior management and directors.
- Coordinate and manage budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment and collaboration with budget holders across the organisation.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain and further develop financial planning and reporting systems, including tools such as Solver and ERP platforms.
- Drive the development and optimisation of financial processes and reporting standards to enhance efficiency, transparency, and compliance.
- Support the implementation of new systems and tools (e.g. ERP, Power BI) to strengthen financial reporting and analytics capabilities.
- Build financial management capacity by training and supporting budget holders and colleagues in planning tools, processes, and reporting.
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in financial controlling, FP&A, or a similar role.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and translate it into actionable insights.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting in a multi-stakeholder environment.
- Familiarity with financial systems and tools such as ERP systems, Solver, Power BI, or similar platforms.
- Proven ability to improve processes and contribute to system and reporting development.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with non-finance stakeholders.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with a structured and solution-oriented working style.
- Experience in training or supporting colleagues in financial processes or systems is an advantage.
- Fluency in English required; German is an asset.
