We need you for:

• Professional and disciplinary leadership of the Operational Data Science team (currently 2 people)

• Supporting the development and motivation of your team members

• Improvement of the company’s Data Science-structures in accordance with best practice

• Coordinating and prioritizing projects and tasks in Operational Data Science and Data Engineering

• Hands-on involvement in the analysis, visualization, and modeling of large datasets

• Ensuring data quality and further development of the data architecture

• Supporting the development and optimization of ML/AI prototypes and data science workflows headed by the Scientific Data Science team

• Presenting results to internal and external stakeholders (e.g., publications, conferences, product development)

• Documenting and continuously improving processes and tools

Your profile:

• Completed studies in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a comparable field

• Several years of professional experience in Data Science/Data Engineering with leadership experience

• Excellent knowledge of Python, R, or Scala (preferably Python)

• Experience with cloud technologies, containerization, and version control

• Proficiency in database technologies (SQL, analytical data warehouses)

• Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes and data pipeline orchestration

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Excellent command of English; German is a plus but not required

• Motivation to drive innovative projects and work independently

For the cooperation in our team, we offer a payment in line with collective agreement (KV Handwerk und Gewerbe) based on a full-time position.
