Postdoctoral Fellow – innovative ore processing
You will conduct both basic and applied research based on powder diffraction methods, your main tasks are:
- Research on mechanochemical activation of phosphate ores
- Develop and improve existing data pipeline at the ADDAMS beamline, with a focus on combined XRD and XRF workflows, particularly for industrial applications
- Assist beamline users
- Publish research results and present them at relevant scientific meetings and conferences
Your profile
- PhD degree in Geology, Material Science, or a related field
- Hands on experience with diffraction methods XRD, in particular with powder diffraction, and possibly X-ray fluorescence XRF
- Experience with synchrotron experiments is an advantage
- Strong computing skills, being able to program in Python
- Fluent in both written and spoken English

You will be part of the Materials Science Group, operating at the ADDAMS beamline of the Swiss Light Source. The position is intended 50% as part of the ANAXAM center ( www.anaxam.ch ), developing analytical methods for industrially relevant problems.
