Postdoctoral Fellow in lithographic fabrication of X-ray optics for microscopy and spectroscopy
- Development of nano-fabrication processes for diffractive X-ray optical elements at PSI's new clean room laboratories
- Testing and implementation of such devices at synchrotron and XFEL sources in close collaboration with internal and external project partners
- Design and execution of novel experiments in the field of X-ray imaging and spectroscopy based on diffractive X-ray optics
- Active participation in the coordination of research projects, including reporting and writing of scientific publications
Your profile
- The successful candidate should have a PhD degree in physics or engineering and experience in nano-lithography, optical instrumentation and metrology, or synchrotron radiation
- Knowledge in scientific computing, image data processing and numerical simulations would be most welcome
- You should enjoy working in an interdisciplinary, multinational research environment
- Being an enthusiastic researcher with an interest in instrumentation and a good team player with excellent communication skills will help to play an active role in the coordination and execution of experiments in this international field of research
