Proclinical is seeking an Application Manager to oversee the lifecycle of assigned IT applications. In this role, you will act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams, ensuring applications are compliant, secure, and optimized for business needs. This position requires a balance of technical expertise, stakeholder management, and hands-on application configuration.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the system owner for assigned applications, managing their lifecycle and ensuring compliance with defined standards.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into IT solutions.
• Review and interpret business specifications to align customer expectations with application functionality.
• Perform application configuration, customization, and routine maintenance of IT infrastructure components.
• Coordinate application integration within the IT landscape, including interfaces and security measures.
• Ensure applications remain compliant, secure, supported, and up-to-date.
• Interact with IT teams (e.g., infrastructure, network, IT security) and third-party providers as needed.
• Support day-to-day operational activities for local IT applications, ensuring stability and availability.
• Contribute to project delivery work and technology scouting, including proof-of-concept initiatives.
• Propose new solutions, liaise with vendors, and define global IT infrastructure standards.
• Maintain and update documentation to ensure compliance with organizational standards.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Strong understanding of system engineering and architecture.
• Experience in application lifecycle management, including deployment, configuration, optimization, upgrades, troubleshooting, and backup/restore.
• Knowledge of network, database, IT security, client-server systems, and application deployment.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, cross-functional environment and contribute to process improvement.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• General understanding of GxP standards.
• Effective stakeholder management and collaboration across business and IT teams.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse cultures.
• Fluent in English and German; Swiss German is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in IT (required); certifications in IT system engineering (preferred).
