Lonza AG is in search of an exceptionally hard-working EHS Manager to lead our Environmental, Health, and Safety programs at our Visp site in Switzerland. This represents an ambitious opportunity to promote a flawless safety culture and maintain the highest standards in occupational health and safety!

Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate EHS programs for the Visp site, focusing on occupational health and safety

• Ensure compliance with sustainability regulations and international standards on site by performing relevant audits and walkthroughs

• Develop and implement innovative strategies to promote a safety culture across all Business Platforms

• Coordinate the definition and reporting of critical metrics for occupational health and safety

• Support near miss reporting and conduct detailed incident investigations to determine root causes and implement corrective actions

• Serve as the EHS Specialist Operations for Shared Services following the Business Partner model

Qualifications:

• Certified Safety Engineer with EKAS (SUVA) certification

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the chemical or bio-manufacturing industry, with a proven process understanding in biopharma manufacturing, including cGMP & safety aspects

• Strong project management skills with a track record of successfully implementing EHS initiatives

• Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, in German and English

• Strong presentation skills for developing and delivering effective campaigns and trainings to improve knowledge, skills, and behavior at multiple levels of the organization
