Four our Site in Visp, we’re currently looking for an EHS Manager Process Safety (m/w/d). The EHS Manager Process Safety is, as expert function, responsible for the successful implementation, supervision and optimization of Environmental, Occupational Health, and Safety (EHS) programs for Visp site (Manufacturing & laboratory facilities and Services & Site Infrastructure). The role is also responsible for the development and execution of continuous improvement strategies related to EHS process safety.

What you will do:

• Responsible for EHS programs for Visp site, specific focus on EHS process safety management.

• Develop the continuous improvement strategies for Lonza Visp EHS process safety management system to meet Global EHS and international standards.

• Drive compliance with EHS regulations and international standards on site with respect to process safety.

• Carrying out risk analysis and consulting on explosion protection for production focused on biotechnology.

• Handling EHS concepts and programs in close cooperation with the respective EHS functions from EHS Visp.

• Selection, training and guidance for EHS process safety tools and data systems.

• Carrying out plant inspections, short audits and site inspections

• Implement and continuously improve EHS process safety dashboard and performance monitoring systems.

• Develop, create and implement EHS process safety standards for Visp.

What we are looking for:

• Master’s Degree in Pharmaceutical Technology, Chemistry, Process Engineering, Biotechnology, or equivalent.

• Comprehensive working knowledge of Process Safety and High Hazard legislation

• Competent in risk analysis techniques.

• Profound work experience within the Chemical or Bio-manufacturing industry.

• Proven process understanding in Biopharma manufacturing (cGMP & safety aspects)

• Very strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Strong presentation skills for developing and delivering training to elevate knowledge, skills and behaviors at multiple levels of the organization.

• Dealing with high level of ambiguity using coaching skills.

• Fluent in English.
