Project Engineer (m/f/d)

Location: Visp

Contract duration: 1 year

Key Responsibilities

Technical Project Management (≈60%)

• Lead the planning and execution of small to mid-sized investment projects with direct impact on production and business performance
• Perform process engineering calculations and drive plant optimization initiatives
• Conduct feasibility studies for new installations and modifications of existing plants, including:
• Cost estimation
• Scheduling
• Functional design
• Support production adjustments and new product launches from a technical perspective

Concept Development (≈20%)

• Develop and evaluate technical solutions
• Analyze advantages and disadvantages to support informed decision-making

Team Coordination & Resource Management (≈10%)

• Identify, procure, and coordinate internal and external resources
• Ensure projects are executed professionally and within agreed timelines

Process Optimization & Knowledge Transfer (≈10%)

• Improve process flows and implement sustainable solutions
• Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practice transfer within the organization

Requirements

• Technical Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s preferred) in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering / Technology, Chemical or Biochemical Engineering or related field
• Strong ability to apply technical expertise in day-to-day operations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Highly independent, structured, and organized working style
• Fluent in English and German (written and spoken)
• Innovative and solution-oriented mindset
• Proven leadership skills in a matrix organization
• Strong analytical thinking and contextual understanding
