Carhartt WIP is part of the WIP Trading AG. Our family-owned business group started as a licensee and European distributor of the US workwear manufacturer Carhartt in the early 1990s. Since then, it develops its own collections based on workwear originals.

Student for 2025 (m/f/x) - Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (DHBW Lörrach)
Apprenticeship Program:
- Start: September/October 2025 (Possibility for a three-month preliminary internship)
- Duration: 3 years
- University: Duale Hochschule Lörrach (DHBW)
What to expect:
- Further development and learning in a young dynamic team
- Insights into the value-added chain and involvement in various areas of a textile trading company
- Dual training system with block phases alternating approximately every 3 months at the Cooperative State University Lörrach
Your Responsibilities:
- Co-development/implementation of data analytics & artificial intelligence solutions
- Development of use cases
- Preparation and analysis of real data in a business context
- Support in the planning, implementation and follow-up of data analytics workshops
- Collaboration in IT projects in close cooperation with the company's specialist departments
Your Profile:
- Preferably already study experience and practical experience in the application of AI, data analytics and/or operations research
- Knowledge of at least one programming language (e.g. Python, R) is an advantage
- Ideally good knowledge of statistics, data science methods and algorithms
- Practical experience in data cleansing and processing desirable
- Team player and communicative personality with an interest in consulting
- Very good communication skills in German and English
