What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Designing, implementing, maintaining, testing, evaluating, benchmarking, and documenting advanced algorithms and mathematical functions for ANSYS optiSLang.
  • Collaborating closely with customer support teams to ensure developed algorithms are applicable and effective for industrial scenarios.
  • Learning and applying best practices in software development, machine learning, and optimization.
  • Performing bug verification, release testing, and providing support for assigned software products.
  • Investigating and resolving technical problems identified by QA or product support, and developing innovative solutions.
  • Working under the guidance of experienced development managers and lead developers, contributing to both new methods and the improvement of existing implementations.

  • Advance the capabilities of ANSYS optiSLang, driving innovation in process integration and parametric design optimization.
  • Enable robust machine learning-based sensitivity analysis, optimization, and uncertainty quantification, empowering customers to solve complex engineering challenges.
  • Enhance the efficiency and reliability of industrial applications through state-of-the-art algorithmic developments.
  • Support the creation of high-performance, multi-disciplinary optimization tools, expanding the reach and impact of Synopsys solutions.
  • Contribute to research publications and patentable ideas, shaping the future of optimization technologies.
  • Facilitate the seamless integration of numerical simulation tools, ensuring scalable and flexible design workflows for customers worldwide.

What You’ll Need:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science, Technical Physics, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in C++ and Python programming, with experience in object-oriented development.
  • Background in at least one of the following: machine learning, artificial intelligence, data mining, single-objective optimization, multi-objective decision making, or uncertainty quantification.
  • Familiarity with Python libraries for machine learning and data analysis, such as TensorFlow, Theano, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, pandas, etc.
  • Theoretical knowledge of regression and classification methods, and experience with high-dimensional applications.
