Position overview
We are looking for a dedicated Technician in Paint & Application to support the product development efforts of the allnex additives team in Werndorf, Austria. Your responsibilities will include conducting application tests, supporting formulation optimization and performing analytical measurements.

Responsibilities
- Carry out comprehensive application tests and systematically evaluate various paint properties to ensure that all formulations meet the required performance, durability, and quality standards.
- Actively assist in the development, improvement, and optimization of paint formulations by collaborating with the R&D team, analyzing test results, and proposing adjustments to enhance overall product performance.
- Perform detailed analytical tests—such as measuring viscosity, determining pH value, and assessing solids content—to accurately characterize material behavior and ensure consistency with technical specifications.
- Prepare clear, accurate, and structured documentation of all analytical results, ensuring traceability and supporting decision‑making throughout the formulation and quality-control process.
Required skills and experience
- Completed vocational training as a paint laboratory technician, chemical laboratory technician, painter, or possess an equivalent technical qualification.
- Practical experience with application techniques, testing methods, and relevant industry standards.
- Hands-on experience in the development, formulation, and application of paints and coatings.
- Solid understanding of raw materials, additives, and binder systems used in coating technologies.
- Strong communication skills in both German and English.
- High level of quality awareness, with strong attention to accuracy, reliability, and detail.
- Strong willingness to learn, with openness to new technologies and continuous professional development.
