Position overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior Technician in Paint & Application to join the allnex additives team in Werndorf, Austria. In this role, you will drive the development and optimization of paint formulations, perform application testing, and provide precise analytical evaluation to support our innovation projects. You will work closely with cross‑functional partners and contribute to customer‑focused technical problem solving.

Responsibilities
- Drives development and optimization of (especially water-based) paint formulations.
- Conducting application tests and evaluating paint properties.
- Analytical testing, e.g., viscosity, pH value, solids content.
- Precise documentation and reporting of results.
- Autonomous work organization and priority setting within defined objectives & deadlines.
- Participation in cross-departmental projects and collaboration with internal interfaces.
Required skills and experience
- Paint laboratory technician, paint technician, chemical laboratory technician, chemical technician, or equivalent qualification.
- Several years of experience in developing and applying (especially water-borne) paints.
- Formulation know-how: Deep understanding of binders, pigments, additives, and their interactions.
- Experienced in use of testing equipment and evaluation of measurement data.
- Ability to systematically analyze and solve complex formulation problems.
- Structured planning and ability to work independently with precise reporting.
- Hands-on experience in complex customer projects, on-site customer support.
- Strong communication skills in both German and English.
