Tasks
What You’ll Be Doing
- Design and implement modular system architectures for our next-gen smart glasses
- Define and maintain architectural standards that ensure scalability, maintainability, and quality
- Ensure that all system components meet quality and compliance requirements
- Mentor and guide a software development team in making sound technical decisions and applying best practices
- Collaborate closely with the hardware development team to achieve seamless system integration and optimized performance
- Collaborate with management to align the technical roadmap with strategic business objectives
Requirements
What You Bring to the Team
- 6+ years of hands-on development in Rust or C++, ideally within performance-critical embedded systems
- Proven expertise with GStreamer (or similar frameworks such as FFmpeg) — ideally 5+ years
- Outstanding understanding of software architecture and modular system design principles
- Experience implementing real-time video/audio streaming on embedded devices
- Familiarity with WebRTC, WebSockets, and low-latency networking protocols
- Deep experience with Linux Embedded, Yocto, and hardware–software integration
- Practical knowledge of firmware development and close collaboration with hardware teams
Nice-to-Haves
- Basic understanding of machine learning pipelines
- Experience with eye-tracking, AR/VR, or AI-enabled smart glasses
- Experience working within an Agile or Evolutionary Delivery environment

As you know, due to the collective agreement (KV), we have to mention the official minimum salary, which is EUR €3.175,-/month. But honestly, that’s just a baseline - we’re offering you a salary that truly reflects your skills and the value you bring.
