AI:AT is a joint project of AIT and Advanced Computing Austria . It brings together top-level expertise in high-performance computing, artificial intelligence, and data ecosystems, creating an interdisciplinary innovation environment for research, development, start-ups, and industrial projects.

AI:AT - the AI Factory Austria - provides access to cutting-edge AI infrastructure, promotes trustworthy AI and ethical standards, and serves as a hub for networking with national and European partners. The goal is to work with partners from industry and public institutions to develop and implement forward-looking AI technologies and viable AI solutions.

As part of the collaboration within the AI Factory Austria, INiTS - Vienna’s High Tech Incubator will delegate experts to the AI Factory Austria. For our location in Vienna , we are seeking an:

Event Manager (f/m/d) - 30 to 40 hours / week

AI:AT - AI Factory Austria

• You are passionate about creating memorable events and want to help shape Austria’s AI community.
• You enjoy planning formats from intimate workshops to large-scale summits and see yourself as a creative organiser with technical confidence.
• You independently plan, coordinate and execute events in the AI Factory Austria (on-site, hybrid, and digital).
• You organise and conduct workshops as part of our startup camps.
• You curate and facilitate regular AI Meetups.

• You co-design and implement the annual AI Summit with international participants.
• You support the on-site coordination (tech setup, catering, volunteers, guest services).
• You manage communication with partners, sponsors, service providers, and speakers.
• You take care of budgeting, offer management and invoice processing.
• You collaborate with the AI Factory Austria team to strategically evolve our event programme.

Your qualifications:

• Several years of experience in event management - ideally in innovation, tech or startup settings
• Hands-on experience with hybrid and digital event formats
• Proficient in tools like Eventbrite, Zoom, Notion, etc.
• MacOS experience is a plus
• Structured, self-reliant and solution-oriented working style
• Strong communication skills, resilience, and a can-do mindset
• Driving license (B) is an advantage
• Excellent communication skills in German and English (spoken and written)
• You should be eligible for working in Austria
