The Position
The Global Medical Collaboration Leader is a medical, field-based role working across countries and affiliates to accelerate the development and delivery of medicines to patients through effective medical customer engagement across the lifecycle of a molecule/Disease Area (Cardiovascular).
You will identify and understand medical needs and support strategic and tactical planning across the entire disease area lifecycle. Serving as an above-country medical expert, you will establish scientific collaborations and value-based partnerships, and provide medical support for medicines and disease areas from early development through post-approval.
The Opportunity:
In this role you will have 5 key responsibilities including, but not limited to:
Develop and Facilitate External Network & Relationships, Championing ONE Roche
Establish and maintain valued relationships with key external stakeholders, acting as the face of Roche and ambassador in new Disease Areas
Drive scientific knowledge exchange and medical education activities, identifying opportunities for medical initiatives and partnerships to support the ICX strategy for optimal customer experience
Execute activities with customer centricity, staying updated on relevant developments and trends, including Digital Health and personalized medicine
Engage, Educate, and Partner with Investigators to Expedite Clinical Program Delivery
Work closely with global and affiliate teams to ensure coordinated identification, selection, and engagement of clinical trial sites
Drive scientific engagement with clinical trial sites to support patient recruitment and retention, while suggesting innovative approaches to design, recruitment, and data collection
Gather investigator feedback to optimize clinical development performance and customer experience, contributing to identifying data gaps and supporting access activities
Provide Real-Time Insights and Ground-Level Understanding of Disease Area Across Countries
Partner with internal colleagues to define the insights collection strategy and execute activities to address knowledge gaps through various methods such as advisory boards and external surveys
Build a comprehensive understanding of the local environment, proactively updating the organization on disease area developments, competitive landscape, clinical practices, and patient/carer experiences
Enhance Launch Readiness and Support Treatment Access in Assigned Countries
Act as a disease area champion, supporting affiliate engagement and training activities to accelerate understanding of the disease area ecosystem and align with global strategy
Serve as an above-country medical enabler, sharing medical expertise, training local staff, and facilitating relationships to support launch and access in affiliates
Optimize Customer Experience and Enhance GMC Innovation and Performance
Foster innovation, collaboration, and entrepreneurial spirit to enhance customer engagement and experience, while contributing to a psychologically safe and feedback-rich working environment
Ensure efficient collaboration, sharing best practices, and maintains high scientific standards by supporting onboarding and continuous learning activities for team members
Who you are:
You are a driven individual with strong scientific & commercial acumen who thrives working in an empowered, dynamic and agile working environment and able to understand relationships, create purposeful strong internal/external collaborations with key stakeholders to enable better outcomes for customers.
Masters Degree in science or related field; Postgraduate Degree (PhD, PharmD, MD) is a plus
Significant experience in the pharmaceutical or related industry is required
Significant experience in a global or local medical/scientific customer-facing role is required and in addition clinical trials operational experience in the country is highly desirable
Track record of scientific collaborations with external experts and/or collaborative groups
Deep scientific knowledge of the Disease Area (Cardiovascular) is highly desirable
Knowledge of relevant drug development process, including regulatory requirements, trends, and drug approval is preferred as well as solid knowledge of drug safety/pharmacovigilance
Fluency in written and spoken in German and English is required
This field-based role will require travel within and outside the country (supporting additional countries including Czechia and Hungary)
We offer an annual salary starting from €70.000, complemented by an attractive benefits package. This includes a competitive bonus scheme, company-supported pension plan, sport programs etc. Depending on your qualifications and experience, a higher compensation is possible.
