Industry Advisors are responsible for driving commercial business success by developing new insights / innovations, leading consultative customer engagements, and enabling others on industry related opportunities.
As a Transportation & Logistics Industry Advisor, you will drive digital transformation in one of the world’s most dynamic industries. This is a sales role where you engage directly with business decision makers, uncover opportunities, and shape solutions that deliver measurable impact using Microsoft’s cloud, AI, and data technologies. We are looking for an experienced enterprise sales professional with deep expertise in transportation and logistics . You bring firsthand knowledge of the industry, whether from working with railway operators, freight forwarders, parcel delivery organizations, logistics service providers , or similar industries . You understand critical functions such as first, mid, and last mile operations, dynamic pricing, transportation and warehouse management systems, reverse logistics , control towers, asset management, and route optimization. You will generate new pipeline , build strong relationships with C-level stakeholders, and help customers rethink the way they move goods and people across the globe .

Qualifications
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- P roven success in a relevant industry domain.
- Deep knowledge of the transportation & logistics industry trends, challenges, opportunities, and solutions, and how Microsoft's cloud, AI, and Data technologies can address them ( strong track record in driving digital transformation).
- E xperience in consultative selling, solution selling, or account management , with a strong understanding of the sales process and methodologies .
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with senior executives and stakeholders .
- Willingness and ability to travel 25-50% of the time.
- Fluency in German.
Preferred qualifications:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate certification.
Responsibilities
- Drive account-based revenue by defining and landing industry plays across Transportation and Logistics accounts
- Spark innovation to re-imagine the future by facilitating envisioning / ideation sessions and developing multi-horizon roadmaps to deliver new capabilities.
- Ignite, shape, and secure market-making business partnerships by leveraging business relationships with CxOs and Senior Business Executives.
- Develop thought leadership assets and best practices that can be levered by others to increase the success of the business and Microsoft.
- Amplify externally / internally thought leadership on unique industry perspectives and innovations to accelerate Microsoft’s credibility / brand / mindshare.
- Continuously assess one’s own skills, development plans, and contributions to the success of others.
