Einleitung
We are looking for an Origination Manager – Power Markets with strong expertise in the Austrian power market to develop, structure, and close tailored energy solutions. The role combines commercial origination, market know-how, and regulatory understanding, with direct exposure to clients, market institutions, and internal trading teams. This position plays a key role in building long-term partnerships with generators, consumers, storage operators, and asset owners, while shaping innovative commercial products such as PPAs, flexibility solutions, and market access models.
STELLENBESCHREIBUNG
Main responsibilities:
- Origination, structuring, negotiation, and closing of power supply contracts, PPAs, and flexibility/storage-related agreements across the Austrian market.
- Development and management of a strong client pipeline including generators, storage operators, industrial consumers, aggregators, and energy communities.
- Independent leadership of commercial negotiations with full ownership of transactions from first contact through to closing.
- Translation of client requirements into commercially and operationally viable structures in close collaboration with trading, risk, legal, and operations teams.
- Acting as an internal expert on the Austrian electricity market, including market design, balancing groups, registration processes, and settlement.
- Management of interactions with key institutions such as E-Control, APCS, APG, DSOs, and power exchanges.
- Building trusted relationships with clients, regulators, and market partners and representing the company externally.
What you should bring:
- 3+ years of experience in the Austrian power market (e.g. origination, trading, utility, IPP, retail supply, or energy consultancy).
- Proven experience in negotiating and closing commercial energy contracts.
- Strong understanding of Austrian market design, including balancing groups, registration processes, settlement, and regulatory requirements.
- Solid understanding of day-ahead, intraday, and imbalance mechanisms and the ability to apply this knowledge in a commercial context.
- Strong commercial and negotiation skills combined with clear communication in German and English and a proactive, independent working style
