Our client, an ambitious early-stage startup headquartered in the US with its founding team based in Vienna, is currently developing an AI-powered SaaS platform – from the ground up. Backed by renowned VCs from New York and Silicon Valley, this is an exciting opportunity for tech-savvy individuals who want to take ownership and help build a modern, scalable product.

This role focuses on hands-on testing and taking responsibility for quality in a fast-paced startup environment. You will work closely with developers, test features, identify issues early, and ensure structured communication around bugs, improvements, and releases.

Your Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on testing for new features and product improvements
• Collaborate closely with developers to identify, document, and resolve bugs at an early stage
• Create clear, structured tickets for bugs and feature improvements
• Manage and prioritize bug tracking and issue resolution
• Create and execute test plans and test cases
• Ensure quality across all releases and support structured release processes
• Clearly communicate test results, issues, and priorities to developers and founders
• Identify patterns in recurring issues and continuously improve product quality

Your Profile

• 2+ years of experience in software testing / QA
• Strong focus on manual testing and a structured approach to quality assurance
• Experience with complex products or systems (not just simple websites)
• Ability to understand product behavior and think beyond predefined test cases
• Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment with changing requirements
• Strong communication skills and close collaboration with developers
• High attention to detail and a proactive, hands-on mentality
• Fluent English is a must-have; German is a strong plus

Nice to Have

• Experience in test automation (e.g. Playwright, Cypress, etc.)
• Experience with SaaS or data-intensive products
• Experience in early-stage startup environments
