Your responsibilities
- Become a core member of our team, supporting and enabling ongoing research projects
- Perform molecular work, including advanced CRISPR/Cas9-mediated genome engineering, biochemical assays and next-generation sequencing-related protocols
- Perform advanced cell biological work, including functional genomics screens in cell lines, lenti- and retroviral gene delivery, flow cytometry and imaging
- Be responsible for purchasing and storing research materials, and maintaining an inventory to ensure reproducible science
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and good laboratory practice
Your profile
What you bring for this position:
- Degree in life sciences (BSc, MSc, Mag., DI)
- Excellent technical skills in molecular and cellular biology, including proficiency in molecular cloning, cell culture, virus-based molecular techniques, flow cytometry and immunofluorescence imaging
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (German not required)
- Exceptional organization skills, ability to problem solve, work independently and communicate clearly are essential
- Team player with strong communication skills and a proactive “getting things done’’ mentality
