In the Services of the Department TU Wien is offering a position as Technical Assistant (all genders) for 40 hours/week. Expected start: March 2026.

In the Services of the Department TU Wien is offering a position as Technical Assistant (all genders) for 40 hours/week. Expected start: March 2026.
Tasks:
- Support in the planning and implementation of technical setups in-house and in the field in collaboration with researchers (includes tasks in precision mechanics, electrical engineering, and measurement technology)
- Independent technical and administrative support and maintenance of the department’s infrastructure and materials (laboratories, equipment, operating materials, vehicles, etc.)
- Primary responsibility for the procurement of technical components
- Independent execution of soldering work
- Planning, coordination, and execution of transports
- Technical support for events
- Assistance with various technical tasks (e.g., sensor control and programming of microcontrollers, circuit board development, 3D printing, piloting of drones)
Your profile:
- Education in mechatronics, industrial engineering, precision engineering, surveying, mechanics, technical computer science, industrial engineering, or similar, or several years of relevant professional experience
- Technical and manual skills
- Enjoyment and confidence in driving a small van (Class B driver’s license required)
- Very good knowledge of German and English
- Knowledge of electronics and experience with 3D printing are an advantage
- Digital skills and Communication skills
- Flexibility in everyday work and willingness to innovate
- Organization and planning/project management
- Willingness to take responsibility and show initiative
- Professionalism and customer focus
- Willingness to cooperate and ability to work in a team
