Your personal sphere of play:
Your future position is at the Department of Theatre, Film and Media Studies and is subject to the professorship for Theatre and Cultural Studies. The position is limited to six years and is to be filled on October 1, 2025, or later.
Your future tasks:
Active participation in research, teaching & administration, which means:
- You build up or expand an independent research profile.
- You are involved in research projects and scientific studies.
- You publish internationally and give lectures.
- You hold courses independently within the scope of the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement.
- You supervise your students and hold exams.
- You participate in evaluation measures and in quality assurance.
- You take on administrative tasks in research, teaching and administration.
- You will be involved in applying for projects and acquiring third-party funding.
- You are working on a habilitation thesis or a second book.
This is part of your personality:
- Completed doctoral/PhD studies in theater and performance studies
- Publications in the field of theatre and cultural studies
- Lectures and international networking activities in the field of theatre and cultural studies
- Extensive knowledge and experience in teaching, research and administration
- Independent research project (e.g. habilitation)
- High ability to express yourself both orally and in writing
- Foreign language(s)
- Professional experience at a research institution outside the university where the doctorate was obtained
- IT skills
- Team player and high social/communicative skills
In addition, we expect the successful candidate to have:
- Teaching experience / experience of working with e-learning
- Experience of working on research projects
- International presentation experience
Desirable qualifications are:
- Knowledge of university processes and structures
- Experience abroad
- Experience of supervising students
