ClipMyHorse.TV is the leading online provider of live broadcasts of equestrian sports and breeding worldwide. On over 300 days a year, horse enthusiasts can experience more than 2,500 events live. Both international and regional equestrian and horse breeding events from more than 200 countries around the world are streamed on ClipMyHorse.TV. In addition, we operate as an internationally active platform for equestrian sports with our Academy, which imparts knowledge about the world of horses, our Marketplace, which connects horse buyers and sellers, and our auctions.

We are looking for a full-time journalist (m/f/d) to join us as soon as possible to help us further expand our news section, which will complement the existing ClipMyHorse.TV offering. The position is initially limited to two years, as we are currently setting up this exciting news project and financing it in the start-up phase. However, this limitation should not be seen as a restriction – if everything goes well, there is definitely the prospect of long-term cooperation, as we are very interested in retaining motivated talent in the long term.

A special focus of your work will be on international equestrian sports, ideally with a strong connection to the United States, as this market is of particular strategic interest to us.

YOUR POSITION

As a talented and committed team member, you will bring your experience in journalistic (equestrian) activities and the latest technical and media possibilities to help advance our coverage. In this role, you will follow the latest events, trends, and discussions and create in-depth journalistic articles. Your good knowledge of equestrian sports, passion, and personal responsibility will contribute to the successful expansion of our news section.

YOUR TASKS

• You will follow the latest events in international equestrian sports with a special focus on the disciplines of show jumping, dressage, and eventing.
• You will conduct background research on the most important events, players, and discussions in equestrian sports.
• You will stay on top of current topics and be open to actively contacting players in equestrian sports in order to conduct even better research.
• You will write in-depth articles on both current and longer-term topics in equestrian sports.
• You will work in a highly interdisciplinary team, where we aim to combine the technical and media challenges of the times with good journalistic contributions.

YOUR PROFILE

• You have a degree in a relevant field, such as journalism, communication or media studies, or equivalent training or an internship (related qualifications or experience are also welcome).
• You already have experience in journalistic activities related to equestrian sports
• You have a comprehensive understanding and feel for current developments in sports and breeding, with a particular focus on the major players
• You are flexible and willing to work on weekends to cover important events
• You impress with your structured approach to work, diligence, motivation, initiative, and ability to work in a team
• You have a good knowledge of the sport and the relevant regulations, are communicative, and are building your own network in the equestrian world
• As we operate internationally, fluent English is essential for your role; German skills are an advantage but not a requirement.
