We are recruiting on behalf of our renowned client for an experienced IT Security Engineer (m/w/d) who will take responsibility for protecting sophisticated IT infrastructures against modern cyber threats. This position requires a structured and analytical professional capable of designing reliable security architectures and ensuring the long-term stability of critical systems. As an IT Security Engineer (m/w/d), you will play a key role in strengthening existing security frameworks and proactively minimizing operational risks.
Your Responsibilities as an IT Security Engineer (m/w/d)
In this role, you will design, implement, and continuously enhance technical security measures across network, server, endpoint, and cloud environments. You will assess existing infrastructures, identify vulnerabilities, and define sustainable countermeasures in alignment with internal policies and external regulatory standards.
You will investigate security incidents, coordinate response activities, and document findings in a structured and traceable manner. In addition, you will support the development and refinement of security guidelines and ensure their practical integration into daily operations.
Your tasks include:
- Monitoring system activities and network traffic to detect anomalies and potential security breaches
- Conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to evaluate system resilience
- Implementing and maintaining firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint protection solutions
- Managing identity and access control mechanisms to ensure structured authorization processes
- Collaborating with development and infrastructure teams to integrate secure configurations into new projects
- Supporting internal and external audits by preparing technical documentation and compliance evidence
- Coordinating incident response procedures and ensuring clear communication with relevant stakeholders

Your Profile
You have completed a degree in computer science, information security, or a comparable qualification with a strong focus on IT security. Alternatively, you bring several years of practical experience in security engineering within complex IT environments.
You offer:

- Strong expertise in network security, encryption technologies, and secure authentication systems

Your Daily Work as an IT Security Engineer (m/w/d)
