42 Wolfsburg is a higher education NGO/start-up educating up to 600 students to become cutting-edge techies and software engineers in a practice-based peer-learning environment. 42 Wolfsburg is based on the internationally successful concept of Ecole 42 which was founded 2013 in Paris and today trains 18‘000+ students in 54 schools all over the world. At 42 Wolfsburg we set out to educate the next generation of European software engineers to build the digital infrastructure of our societies – this means meaningful work, excellent career opportunities and lots of responsibility.

Tasks

As IT Manager of 42 Wolfburg/Berlin you will be part of a team which set the goal to create a learning community among the students as well as the employees.

Our on-site tech is the backbone of our school. You’ll help running, maintaining and improving it. With us, you’ll also have the opportunity to develop your skills further in an inspiring surrounding full of tech-savvy students adn colleagues.

Your tasks include, but are not limited to:

• Maintaining and improving of 42 Wolfburg’s tech infrastructure which includes 200 students workstations, servers, printers, wifi, team equipment as well as event & meeting room tech,
• Managing our IT tools such as: Proxmox VE and PBS, Git, Nginx, pfSense, Ansible, Home assistant.
• Based on need, development and maintenance of various IT tools.
• Assisting staff and students with IT as required.
• Documenting of IT setup and Processes as required

Our students and partners footprint will be international, so our working language will be English (German is a plus) and you must have a positive attitude to working with special-needs students and colleagues.

On-site presence in Wolfsburg is mandatory for this role as it requires trust and being responsible.
