As a Data Platform Responsible (PR) you are responsible for the end-to-end technical leadership and lifecycle management of a global data platform (datalake house) ensuring alignment with business needs, architecture standards, and operational resilience. Working closely with Product Owners, Platform Owner, System Architects, and IT Service Owners, the Platform Responsible supports technical decision-making, oversees solution design and drives technical decision-making, responsible for successful development execution, and ensures production readiness and release planning within defined frameworks. The role combines hands-on technical oversight with supplier management, risk assessment, quality assurance, and deep involvement in agile delivery and incident support.

YOUR CHALLENGE

• You are key technical stakeholder in the technical design of a Global Platform based on a modern infrastructure

• You are part of the agile setup and support development team

• Lead the technical design, development, and operational performance of the platform, ensuring full lifecycle management and compliance with corporate standards

• Contribute to platforms technical roadmap, including technology changes, modernisation, and decommissioning, in alignment with business and architectural strategies

• Own and contribute to key deliverables including Solution Design, Security Concept, and Interface Agreements; ensure adherence to architecture standards in collaboration with the System Architect

• Plan and coordinate application releases in line with Change- and Release Management processes, jointly deciding on production go-live with the Product Owner, Platform Owner and ITSO

• Supervise platform infrastructure and data development activities, promote "shift-left” practices (automation, unit testing, CI/CD), and ensure robust implementation of functional and non-functional requirements

• Provide 3rd level support, serve as master data custodian in JBAR, and lead supplier management for third-party applications, including performance and delivery oversight

• Estimate effort for changes, advise on technical risks and mitigation, support budgeting, and ensure technical requirements are properly validated and tested prior to release

• You feel responsible for the global data platform which serves global data for different analytics use cases and ensure a running and stable environment

• Support the System Architect in the raising and maintenance of technical debts

• Support Business Responsible and IT Product Owner in shaping platform service and its execution

• Collaboration with support teams in Asia to ensure enhanced support hours

YOUR PROFILE

• At least 8 years of experience in Data Platforms / Data Lakes / Data Lake houses (Kubernetes, Kafka, Distributed Storage like S3/HDFS) – preferably On prem.

• Several years of work experience in a similar capacity in the financial industry

• Experience in leading technical direction of data platforms, keeping up to date with the modern possibilities of tooling, formats, concepts.

• Experience in managing the full platform lifecycle, from concept and design through development, testing, deployment, operation, and eventual retirement, including responsibility for master data, incident support, and release coordination

• VM setup and scaling (pods), K8S scaling, managing Docker with Harbor, pushing Images through CI/CD together with development team

• Higher Education in Computer Science (University, University of Applied Sciences or equivalent diploma)

• Very strong communication and planning / coordination skills

• Willingness to bring in new ideas and initiate changes and sees themselves as proactive, reliable and solution driven

• Good English language skills (written and verbal), German a plus

• Strong team player

• Customer oriented with focus to support an organisation in providing solutions

• Very good understanding of data technology and its operational management

• Very high level on self-motivation to drive initiatives and initiating changes
