For our Business Unit High Voltage Products in Zurich-Oerlikon, we are looking for an R&D Engineer to strengthen our team for High Voltage Circuit Breakers development. How you'll make an impact

• Execute product-development-related engineering activities for specific R&D projects from concept to series implementation, ensuring technical alignment with cross-functional experts and project stakeholders

• Support the Design Lead in product development topics and ensure structured documentation of development activities

• Plan and supervise assembly, disassembly and inspection of prototypes together with other experts

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of R&D processes and activities
  

Your background

• Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related subject from a Polytechnical/Technical University

• Working experience in an R&D environment is a plus

• Experience in project management is a plus

• Good know-how in 3D CAD and FEM software tools required

• High expectations on quality of work in all regards

• Independent, proactive and goal-oriented personality

• Practically oriented and hands-on way of working

• Self-motivated, committed, willing to learn

• Excellent communication skills

• Excellent command of English and German, both written and spoken
