Group Finance Accounting Graduate

Über diesen Job

Launch your career with impact!

We’re looking for curious, motivated graduates with strong people skills who want to grow, learn, and make a difference. If you hold a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD and have up to three years of professional experience, apply to our 18-month Graduate Programme starting 1 September 2026.

You’ll gain hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of reinsurance, rotate into a different team, and receive tailored training to build your expertise. This is your chance to shape your future – and help protect societies from the world’s most complex risks.

About the Role

Are you striving to acquire knowledge across many aspects of accounting and finance? Are you keen on analysing and assessing various accounting topics related to the Group's numerous external IFRS disclosures? Are you ready to contribute to the communication with investors, analysts and readers of the financial statements? If yes, this position is the right opportunity for you! In this role, you will support the Group IFRS Reporting team, part of Swiss Re's Group Reporting Department, in a wide range of reporting topics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with global internal business partners including Business Units, Asset Management, Treasury and Investor Relations to resolve complex issues
  • Contribute to providing management with relevant information for business steering, including handling ad hoc requests
  • Analyze and evaluate business drivers and understand their connections to financial results
  • Work in close cooperation and interaction within our diverse team

About the Team

We are the Group's reliable provider of consolidated financial information, supporting both internal and external stakeholders in making well-informed decisions. We act as the centre of competence for financial reporting across Swiss Re. We are a professional, engaged and dedicated team of around 20 people, based right next to the lake of Zurich, consisting of a group of international, forward-thinking personalities with various backgrounds, all thriving in a hectic, fast-paced environment that requires focus, interest in the business, and, most importantly, team spirit.

You're a curious, motivated individual with strong analytical abilities and excellent interpersonal skills. You thrive in collaborative environments, take initiative, and are eager to learn and grow in the financial sector. Your positive attitude and ability to navigate complex information while maintaining attention to detail make you an ideal candidate for our team.

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements

  • Successfully completed university degree, preferably in a quantitative field like finance, accounting or equivalent (Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD)
  • Strong interest in international reporting (IFRS) and accounting matters with a flair for numbers
  • Passion to learn about the insurance/reinsurance industry
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to focus on details without losing track of the bigger picture
  • Very good communication skills in English and confidence to work with stakeholders at all levels
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

The base salary range for this position will be shared with you during the interview process.

The application process is open for at least 4 weeks and if you do not hear from us within this time frame, it does not mean your application is ignored. We will get back to you latest by mid-November.
