Intro
We are a fast-growing startup at an exciting stage, moving from research and development into launching our first product on the market. As part of this transition, we are re-organizing our operations—including finance, administration, HR, and site management—and we are looking for talented individuals to join us on this journey and beyond.
While we are especially interested in expertise in finance, we also welcome candidates with broader operational experience, which may include HR or related fields. This role is ideal for someone with good communication, exceptional organizational skills, and a mindset for structure, clarity, and proactive support.

Tasks
- Coordinate general accounting activities, ensuring timely processing of financial data and expenses.
- Act as the primary interface to external accounting partners for payroll, pensions, and regulatory compliance.
- Manage financial planning processes: align input from departments, maintain internal budgeting tools, and update financial forecasts.
- Monitor cash flow planning and support liquidity management coordination with leadership.
- Build models to analyze production costs of our products and support strategies to optimize our costs.
- Support monthly and quarterly financial reporting cycles, ensuring timely delivery of accurate data to internal stakeholders and investors.
- Coordinate preparation and submission of tax filings, audits, and funding documentation.
- Collaborate with teams to define and improve internal finance-related processes and performance metrics.
- Oversee site operations tasks, such as space and extension planning, creating and maintaining processes for business travel, office management, or event management
- Oversee or support HR related activities with our internal and external HR team, such as employee life cycles, documentation, legal aspects, payroll and salary, ESOP, etc.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance operations, preferably in a technology company with heavy R&D activity and/or a startup
- Strong knowledge of financial processes, budgeting, and forecasting
- Experience in driving operational and cost efficiencies
- Experience in HR related fields and/or site operational related field is a strong plus
- Excellent communication skills in English, and German a big advantage
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, external parties, and maintain confidentiality and transparency as needed

Closing
Our recruitment process consists of three stages:
- A 30 min. phone interview with our People & Culture team member to discuss your general career motivations, and present our company and this role.
- A 1-1.5 hour phone interview with 1-2 members of the hiring team to deep dive into the core skills requirements.
- An on-site visit to interview with and meet many members of the team that you would be working in. This often includes lunch and gives you a strong sense of the company culture and individuals.
Then, both parties take their decisions! We aim to complete all steps in one month, but also allow for modifications to ensure both sides have a full picture of the skills and culture match to take the decision in an informed way.
Tip: the cover letter is optional, but it is a great way for us to know why you are applying. Taking the time to add a paragraph to a plain document to upload is not only totally fine, but much appreciated! No need for formal formatting, as we are an informal team that appreciates authenticity.
