Job Accountabilities - Key Accountabilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute underwriting strategies and business plans for property, engineering, and liability lines.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to adapt strategies.
- Identify opportunities for profitable growth and product development.
Underwriting Management
- Establish and maintain underwriting guidelines, authorities, and risk appetite.
- Oversee pricing, policy terms, and conditions to ensure profitability and competitiveness.
- Review and approve complex or high-value underwriting decisions.
Risk Assessment
- Evaluate risks for property, engineering projects, and liability exposures.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Implement corrective actions based on performance analysis.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing underwriting team.
- Conduct performance appraisals and identify training needs.
- Foster a collaborative and results-driven environmen
