For our customer, a leading, multinational provider of Financial Services with a Swiss office in the Zug area, we are seeking a Legal Counsel Financial Services (f/m):

Responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice to the BU Headoffice and the European country organisations regarding the group’s legal set-up, business activities and commercial transactions
• Prepare, review and negotiate various types of commercial agreements and other legally relevant documents
• Provide risk management advice on legal issues
• Research and answer inquiries regarding legal and contractual matters
• Assist in legal team projects such as, e.g., preparation of templates
• Work as part of the business unit to streamline the legal queries and transactions
• Report to the Head Legal Services BU

Requirements:

• Law degree from a reputable European/US university; bar exam would be a plus
• At least 3 years experience with a law firm and/or as in-house counsel, with a strong focus on transactional work and commercial agreements
• Fluent in English as well as German and/or French; other languages would be a plus
• Proactive and result-oriented
• Proven ability to work well under pressure (with a high workload) and commitment to meet tight and shifting deadlines
• Pragmatic and proven ability to focus on key risks
• Excellent drafting skills and ability to mitigate risk appropriately in contracts
• Proven ability to collaborate with colleagues of all levels including the ability to challenge where necessary
• Proven ability to prioritise, work independently and take ownership of, and responsibility for, tasks
• Strong communicator – written and oral
• Experience in an international organisation
• Integrity and sense of humour
