As a
Manager Warehousing & Distribution
you will:
Your tasks
- Lead and promote a strong Safety and Quality Culture across all logistics and warehousing operations, ensuring compliance with Safety, Quality, Health, Environmental, SRT and Airworthiness Authority requirements
- Oversee the full implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of the Safety Management System (SMS), ensuring all SMS responsibilities are met
- Provide strategic and operational leadership to guarantee safe, compliant, and efficient warehouse and material‑handling processes across the ZRH logistics network
- Drive operational excellence through Lean principles, rigorous KPIs, data‑driven performance management and continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage financial performance for the logistics area, including budgeting, cost control and delivery of cost‑reduction and efficiency targets
- Build, lead, and develop the logistics and warehousing team through clear objectives, structured follow‑up, capability development and effective resource planning
- Ensure effective planning and execution of Kitting (marshalling), Ready‑to‑Service processes and warehouse operations to meet turnaround time and service‑quality targets
- Define, optimize and govern end‑to‑end material‑transport processes, including cooperation with external logistics providers, ensuring regulatory compliance and meeting all contractual service levels
Your Profile
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Industrial Engineering, Logistics or Supply Chain Management
- At least 7 years of senior experience in Logistics/Supply Chain, including a minimum of 7 years in a leadership role and several years in a production‑oriented environment
- Proven experience in implementing e‑commerce solutions, automation technologies and digitalization initiatives in a logistics or warehousing environment
- Strong background in Lean Management and Continuous Improvement in operational settings
- Excellent leadership, communication, analytical and problem‑solving skills suited for guiding complex logistics operations
- Solid understanding of aviation‑specific regulations (e.g., EASA Part 145, MOE, NASP Cargo Manual) is a big advantage
- High language proficiency in German (C1) and English (C1)
