For our client, a multinational trading and services group with a location in the Zurich area, we are seeking, immediately or by arrangement, a Paralegal (100%). The draft job description reads as follows (with minor adjustments from us):
Your Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the CSO and Head Expansion CH, mainly dealing with the client’s real estate portfolio and working with the respective construction and facility teams to improve the legal framework for the client’s business locations in CH
- Responsible for contract management, organizing and archiving legal correspondence, and supporting the team members in drafting legal documents
- Liaising with colleagues located at other countries as well as the client’s headquarters
- Working with different departments within the expansion department in CH, and coordinate between internal and external stakeholders, locally as well as globally
- Monitoring the lease signing processes until the contracts are duly signed by the relevant parties
- Organizing and maintaining documents in a paper and electronic filing system
- Supporting the expansion department with preparing drafts of lease agreements, and legal correspondence, primarily within the lease, construction, and facility teams
- Monitoring deadlines, tracking numbers, and more
- Ensuring that all lease, construction and facility agreements meet the group’s internal standards and follow the global guidelines and local laws
- Ensuring that the department is updated on all relevant legal and commercial fields
- Being in contact with the Global Legal Team about local legal issues and global best practices
- Handling of further administrative tasks
Your Qualifications:
- Matura degree or equivalent; complemented with a paralegal or similar legal or business qualification
- At least 2 years’ Swiss work experience gained at a law firm, legal department of a real estate company or an international group; understanding of the Swiss real estate market would be an asset
- Excellent written and spoken English and German (each level C1) is mandatory; French knowledge would be a big asset
- Excellent skills in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
