We are seeking a self-motivated Product Engineer to strengthen our Delivery unit sitting between Product and (Technical) Customer Success. You’ll play a pivotal role in assuring that our clients’ use our product to the full potential, acting as the primary point of contact post-sale, leading the customer onboarding, coaching users and providing guidance to clients & users of Optiml on a day-by-day basis. About Optiml

Real estate is one of the key levers for decarbonization, and it’s time to act. Optiml is fast-growing AI startup with a mission to revolutionize investment decisions towards sustainability. We spun out of ETH Zurich in fall 2022 and raised money from top-notch US & EU funds: Innovation Endeavors (San Francisco – fund of former Google CEO Eric Schmidt) and Planet A (Berlin). Since then, we have rolled out our product across DACH + UK and raised $6M in the last 18mo, now with the team being 20 across Zurich and Munich. We have won major awards in real estate and have a vision to create a new software category of Real Estate Decision Intelligence. In short: although we’re only two years old, we’re at the stage where we need more entrepreneurial and talented people to join our team as we expand our footprint.

• Our software feels like magic! Thus, we need your technical knowledge and skills to onboard & run buildings through our software to generate optim(a)l asset & portfolio decarbonization strategies - to convince future clients of our value-add. You will have great responsibilities from day 1: from creating custom strategies to assuring quality results as well as presenting and discussing in client meetings.
• Our software is powerful! But only after initial configuration. Thus, we need you to support the initial onboarding of our users to the platform, train users on how to navigate successfully, and how to best integrate into existing systems and workflows. You will stay their primary contact post-sales, explaining and /or fixing issues directly yourself and thereby helping people on a daily basis, ensuring user satisfaction. This includes:
  - Extract critical data from customer reports and onboard it into the Optiml platform
  - Assuring high data quality for the building data, contextual data, and sound results.
  - Gather supporting data for Optiml assessments of diverse real estate assets, including global databases and asset-specific data.
• Our software is continuously improving! Therefore we need you to communicate in a friendly and effective way in both directions: 1) from Clients & users -> Internal: gather feedback, bugs and feature ideas; 2) from Internal -> Clients & users: communicate new functionality after release, develop and share FAQs and training materials, etc. Further you will
  - Support the Product team in developing and executing the product & feature roadmap.
  - Run research projects and develop strategies in real estate related fields such as policies, subsidies, tenant laws, costs, materials, emissions and many more focused on Europe-
• Our software is disrupting the industry! To demonstrate that, you will build a repository of case studies and stories of customer use cases & testimonials - show what we’ve got.
• Our company is growing - together with you! You will be an integral part of our Delivery team, driving efficient internal processes in-line with increasing client demand. You will also be involved in tangible product improvements (e.g., by supporting contextual data gathering and assessments along with support in tracking policy developments) as well as improvement of user experience (e.g. by identifying new features in our platform in collaboration with the product, UX research, and design teams).

Requirements

• 2+ years experience in the Real Estate / AEC industry with client-facing interaction such as sustainable real estate consulting
• Masters degree in engineering or related disciplines within the Real Estate industry, e.g. Real Estate, Real Estate Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Sustainable Building studies, Integrated Building Systems, Building physics, Energy systems engineering, or similar subjects
• Willingness to learn everything about our innovative software tool in detail and become our power-user -> so you can teach others your tips & tricks!
• Data-driven approach, excellent analytical & presentational skills
• Swiss or EU citizenship (unfortunately due to size, we can’t support non-EU)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German (C1 level or native in both)

Nice-to-have

• Knowledge of data requirements and existing regulations & norms for building renovations
• Familiarity with sustainability standards, regulations, or energy efficiency measures in real estate
• Experience in BIM and/or architecture software (e.g. Rhino)
• Experience in life cycle assessments, materials and constructions
• Experience in startup, SaaS or PropTech - software for real estate or sustainability sectors
