As a Senior iOS Engineer, you will be working on developing and maintaining the iOS application for our travel marketplace and playing a key role in a multidisciplinary team developing our product for all platforms. Currently, we are in a strong growth phase and are working on enhancing our world-class travel e-commerce app to help us scale and serve millions of customers. You will be responsible for developing and optimizing our iOS application, ensuring it is user-friendly, performant, and adheres to the latest iOS development best practices, as well as for contributing to the team’s wider technical stack. Team mission
You will be joining the Checkout team, which is responsible for the Cart and Checkout pages. Our mission is to create seamless and convenient ways for travelers to shortlist, book, and get the most value out of their activities. We focus on enhancing the customer experience for both new and returning travelers and are dedicated to providing a seamless checkout and experience for our customers.
Your mission:
- Work in a cross-functional mission team with engineers, designers, product managers and analysts.
- Enable your mission team to iterate fast and learn about our customers by designing, launching and iterating on A/B experiments.
- Continuously develop our systems to provide customer value and enhance user experience.
- Continuously improve our codebase, systems and processes, enabling the team to move faster and raise the quality bar of our products.
- Actively contribute to the team’s roadmap and lead end to end initiatives cutting across teams and disciplines.
- Play a key role in defining the team’s long term strategy both from a product and technical standpoint.
Your toolkit:
- Multiple years of experience with app development with explicit knowledge of Swift and the iOS Framework, SwiftUI and Swift structured concurrency.
- Technical curiosity and openness, enabling development across the team’s entire codebase alongside iOS apps when needed.
- The ability to write testable code and deliver high automated test coverage. (Unit/UI/Integration tests/Screenshot Tests etc.)
- Experience with running production systems, emphasizing operational aspects such as monitoring, alerting and system health metrics.
- Customer focus and the ability to connect technical deliverables to company wide goals and long term product strategies, enabling active participation in product decisions.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and lead others in an unstructured environment, driving projects to completion from ideation to launch.
- Fluency in English, enabling meaningful technical and product related conversations.
What sets you apart:
- One or more successful iOS apps published in the App Store.
- Experience with the Swift Composable Architecture.
- Experience with Android or Kotlin Multiplatform.
- Experience with backend development in Java or PHP.
- Prior experience working in the e-commerce space.
- Prior experience in start-up environments.
