EMEA Recruitment has been engaged by a global sector leader to support its recruitment for a new carve-out. We are seeking a Senior Manager of Technical Accounting to implement new accounting standards and maintain accounting policies.

The role offers the chance to lead in the effective application of Accounting and Reporting processes and policies. You will play a pivotal role in consolidating reporting in line with the latest regulations and requirements.

This role is based in the Zurich HQ and requires a professional capable of delivering high-level financial reports and communicating effectively with internal and external partners.

The ideal candidate is a qualified Accountant with a Big 4 background and strong IFRS experience.

The main duties of the Senior Manager of Technical Accounting are:

• Define Accounting and Reporting standards and policies, and lead on all technical accounting
• Document all accounting details for internal and external stakeholders
• Lead on all technical accounting and IFRS topics, in particular revenue recognition
• Be the point of contact for auditors for any technical accounting queries
• Take the lead in the conversion of the conversion from US GAAP to IFRS
• Maintain a strong understanding of the IFRS environment and maintain company policies and training manuals
• Implement internal controls for financial reporting and perform the relevant control activities

Required skills for the Senior Manager of Technical Accounting role:

• Substantial experience in technical accounting and financial reporting according to IFRS standards
• CPA, ACCA, CA qualification or equivalent
• Previous experience in a multinational environment
• English native language skills
• Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, at all levels of the organization
