Job Description

Join Avaloq’s new, dynamic Platform Engineering team. Our mission is to design and deliver the cloud platform and developer experience that powers the next generation of banking solutions. We provide the building blocks for product teams to innovate quickly, safely, and at scale.

You will be surrounded by smart, highly capable people who are passionate about building secure, cost-efficient, and developer-friendly platforms for modern SaaS banking.

Your key tasks

• Design and implement Avaloq’s internal cloud platform to enable product teams with secure, scalable, and compliant foundations
• Build and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) modules, landing zones, and cloud-native blueprints for AWS
• Develop and optimize self-service deployment pipelines, testing frameworks, observability stacks, and golden paths for product development teams
• Establish and enforce DevSecOps practices: CI/CD automation, security scanning, compliance guardrails, and monitoring by default
• Collaborate closely with Product Development and SRE teams to balance velocity and reliability, reducing cognitive load on developers
• Mentor colleagues and drive a culture of platform-as-a-product, enabling autonomy while ensuring governance and efficiency

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in a related role
• Strong expertise in public cloud platforms (AWS), networking, security, and cloud-native architectures
• Hands-on experience with IaC (Terraform, CDK) and landing zone design
• Proven track record in DevOps/Platform Engineering: CI/CD, monitoring/observability
• Understanding of financial services requirements (security, compliance, cost efficiency)
• Experience designing scalable SaaS platforms in a B2B context
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence, enable, and mentor product teams
